How we bill: Our services are designed typically around fixed prices, as opposed to hourly rates, and offers you access to the accumulated wisdom of our firm. The one surprise we don’t want you to have is the price. Clients have told us they want to know their investment up front. Hence, it is our policy that our fees are subject to your advance approval. We will provide you with a written fee estimate for all projects we undertake with you. We typically work with a retainer against that fixed price. In the rare instance that conditions beyond our control do arise, requiring time not estimated in our work plan, it is our policy to notify you immediately in writing in the form of a change order before proceeding so that a mutually agreeable arrangement can be made. We typically do not bill for professional travel time and do so only in extraordinary circumstances and then, only with your prior advance consent (such as engagements out of the area involving less than one full day’s professional time). Our professional fees do not include the cost of travel, lodging, meals, telephone, copying, postage, or large and unusual research costs such as data orders from government agencies or third party vendors. These we pass through separately and only at cost. We strive to deliver a comprehensive service that extends beyond the work performed by our competition. What’s more, if you are not completely satisfied, just tell us and we will withdraw, refund to you your money and you incur no charge for our services. That’s an awesome guarantee!
